Annual Meeting: EXPO Planning Begins

The success of Expo 2017 is a great starting point for planning the next show – SFPA’s 35th Forest Products Machinery & Equipment Exposition – Expo 2019 – to be held June 26-28 of that year in Atlanta.  Members of the Expo Advisory Committee will gather Wednesday afternoon, October 18, at the SFPA 2017 Annual Meeting to discuss a wide range of topics.

The agenda begins with reviews of surveys conducted after Expo 2017.  Committee members will also be reviewing show policies and the proposed timeline for exhibit space sales. SFPA’s exposition director Eric Gee will review housing contract proposals and explore opportunities that enhance the exhibitor and attendee experience.

“Here’s an opportunity for exhibiting companies to have direct input into the development of another great show,” Eric noted. “All ideas are welcome and the future success of the Expo program depends on committee members’ directions,” he added.  All exhibiting companies, whether a member or not, and SFPA member lumber manufacturers are welcome to participate; however, voting rights are reserved for SFPA associate members in good standing. Contact Eric (egee@sfpa.org) with any questions about this important meeting.
